The addition of glucosamine aids in lubricating dogs’ joints for less painful movement, and can reduce inflammation in the joints.
Chondroitin, when used in conjunction with glucosamine, can be even more beneficial
to dogs’ joints. As a novel protein, duck is excellent for dogs with sensitivities to
other animal proteins. Duck naturally contains B vitamins. Duck meat is low in saturated fats and contains the antioxidants zinc and selenium which support the immune system. In addition, the natural omega-3 fatty acids in duck help to keep dogs’ skin and coat healthy and shiny.
Duck is naturally higher in fat, making it excellent for very active dogs. However, dogs with a history of pancreatitis should only be fed duck in moderation. Raw Gold also adds a vitamin and mineral premix, designed by an animal nutritionist. Taurine, an essential amino acid for cats is added, which also contributes to heart health in dogs.
